Are you tired of feeling stuck? Are your goals just beyond your reach? Do you struggle with managing your emotions? Is your past dictating your future and you can't seem to shake the hold it has on your life? Well, these are concerns I hear frequently and are shared by clients with whom I have had the most success. Believing that we are our own experts and that sometimes life clouds our understanding causing us to lose our way, I help guide clients to greater self awareness and identification of their strengths that help them take charge of their life. I am committed to helping clients find self-understanding, heal emotional pain and create more fulfilling lives within a safe and nurturing environment. While a variety therapeutic approaches support my work, my greatest strength comes from establishing a quality therapeutic relationship that conveys warmth, understanding and allows you to truly feel seen. I also provide Clinical Supervision for both BLSW and OBLPCT. I have provided supervision for more than 7 years. I enjoy training and developing competent, ethical and effective therapists using the Bernard's Discrimination Model of supervision. Whether you are a potential client or a supervisee, give me a call. I look forward to making a connection.

I have seen the growth and healing that can happen when you experience understanding and acceptance in a safe and compassionate environment. Whether you are coming into therapy to address current stressors in your life or are ready to work through past trauma, I will provide you with a supportive environment to begin that process. Together we will build awareness of your core beliefs, identify your patterns of interacting with the world, and uncover your inner strengths. Through learning the impact of traumatic experiences on the brain and nervous system, we can learn to regulate our emotions and increase safety in the body. I utilize a range of therapeutic approaches including EMDR, Trauma-Focused CBT, and mindfulness-based interventions. In working with children, I use play to enhance the processing of their inner experiences and feelings. I empower families to build positive relationships through active participation in family therapy and parent consultation sessions. I believe in personalizing treatment to each individual using a client-centered, collaborative approach. My practice is inclusive of all identities and I strive to honor each individual’s unique experience. I look forward to talking with you and seeing if I would be a good fit.

Receiving a terminal diagnosis can be scary & disorienting. Clarifying goals & determining the right next step (for you) might be challenging, especially when surrounded by the thoughts, feelings & opinions of family, friends & providers. You know yourself, your wants & needs, better than anyone, but in our predominant culture, social norms might cause you to doubt this sacred inner knowing or question your choices - especially if you identify as a Woman. Engaging the support of someone experienced & objective can ease your journey & empower you during this difficult time. You don't have to wait to reach out. I specialize in working with women with terminal illness.  My services are tailored to the individual, but might include individual & family counseling, ritual, ceremony & creating sacred space, death education & guidance, planning & logistics, care coordination & advocacy and assistance with navigating Death with Dignity. End-of-life is a precious time & deserves to be held gently with attention & care. Through the exploration of thoughts, feelings, hopes & beliefs about life & living and death & dying, I seek to collaboratively & compassionately support clients in identifying & meeting their unique emotional, spiritual, & logistical needs at the end of their lives.

Are you looking to increase connection, joy, positive moods, and strengthen healthy relationship with yourself and others? I specialize in a Mindfulness and Somatic/body based modality called Internal Family Systems (IFS). IFS allows us to gently and safely reprocess old wounds, work on what is most important right now in your life, and help you return to your core natural state of connection, purpose and authenticity. It is deeper than traditional 'talk therapy', as it gets to the root of trauma and attachment wounding, often based in childhood difficulties that result in patterns of anxiety, depression, grief, and dissociation. I hold a certificate in Psychedelic Assisted Therapy, and offer support in integrating psychedelic work, from a HARM reduction approach, to folks already on that healing path. I am also licensed in Oregon to facilitate Psilocybin sessions. While this seperate from my counseling offerings, it can be a beautiful and deep addition to your healing journey. I hold online counseling space for adult individuals and couples. Please email or call for a free phone consultation. With 20 years experience in mental wellness, I meet you exactly where you are, with absolute non-judgmental acceptance and a strong sense of ease, warmth, trust, and respect. I offer sliding scale $120-$190/session and bill OHP/Pacificsource.

"We all have our stuff." I heard a wise woman say this years ago. We might feel overwhelmed by all the expectations of life - of adulthood. We might be carrying the weight of something terrible that has happened in our lives. We might feel deeply alone - even when we are around other people. Maybe we feel out of control or lacking discipline, struggling to break habits that we know are bad for us. Whatever the case may be, you are not alone. Lots of people come to therapy. Lots of people feel much better after trying it. I provide a comfortable space for you to talk through your "stuff," and help you understand yourself better. My style of therapy includes a great deal of emotional validation, support and building off of your personal strengths. I specialize in helping people shift their perspectives, build their self-esteem and create healthy connections with others. I hope to meet you one day. You deserve so much healing, genuine connection and care. Reach out to me to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if I would be a good fit as your new therapist.

Come as you are to this space and be accepted. While the goals of therapy for each individual vary, a common goal is to be able to experience a range of emotions and have the tools and skills to cope with them. I am here to support you in this journey, regardless of what place you are starting from. You are not alone and you are worthy. I work primarily with children and adolescents from 1 - 10, their parents, and families. I have great interest in working with Early Childhood and Infant Mental Health, both of which strongly focus on the relationship between child and caregiver. I also work with foster families and adoptive families with parenting skills and developing an attachment. Additionally, I work with adults on varying challenges. Therapy is a process in which growth can and will look different for everyone. I will meet you wherever you are in that process and we will start there. You are not alone and you are worthy of meeting your needs.

I believe that the capacity to heal, grow, change, navigate challenges, and thrive is inherent in each of us. I partner with individuals to help bring forward and foster that capacity, with the ultimate aim of living a more joyful, and fulfilled life. My approach is strength-based, trauma-informed and centered around the understanding that you are the expert on your path. I work to understand your story, strengths, skills and values. I look at mental health symptomology from the perspective of - what life experiences caused this, rather than - what’s wrong with you? I believe that at our core, we are each fundamentally good. I primarily utilize person-centered and IFS therapy. Person-centered therapy fosters exploration and processing of your thoughts, feelings and behaviors within a therapeutic relationship, and IFS therapy facilitates inner work with the parts of you that drive thoughts, feelings, and behaviors. When fitting I weave in aspects of other orientations as well. My approach is warm and welcoming. I provide a safe, compassionate space for your journey, wherever it may take you. It is my great honor to walk with you on your path, and to support you in your process, as you move toward fulfillment of your goals. Please reach out if what you've read here resonates with you. I look forward to connecting with you.

Trauma comes in many shapes and forms. A deeply distressing and disturbing experience in your life can have many negative effects such as feeling numb or like you’re just “going through the motions,” deep depression and sadness, or feeling “broken.” But you are not alone in feeling this way. I understand the power of trauma and how it can destroy you, overtaking your mind and your body. It’s a wound that changes a person. Especially if you don’t let it out. It finds unhealthy ways. The trauma can overpower you and take control. But you can become "unbroken." I practice Basic EMDR, SOMATIC therapy, animal therapy, CBT, mindfulness, and a person-centered approach. You will be provided with significant tools and exercises and education in PTSD, trauma and how it affects the brain and body, anxiety and depression. You can grow and be transformed. Your story is a gift that I will honor. Safety and confidentiality are sacred to me. I’m a down to earth therapist that will listen to you without judgment, and together we will find your healing path. You may never be who you once were before the trauma, but by sharing your story and learning tools to decrease the disturbing memories and pain, you can heal.

Many of my clients come to me with emotional wounds. They often felt invisible, rejected, devalued, or deeply hurt by others. They learned to adapt to the unsupportive environment by judging themselves, tensing up, trying to control everything, disconnecting from themselves, numbing their feelings, not trusting others, hiding, or trying to please everyone. As time goes by, these strategies stop working and become symptoms we label as depression, anxiety, disordered eating, substance use, PTSD, self-harm, etc. I work with clients to break free from the past and live life in the way they want. I offer a safe space where clients feel seen, accepted and empowered. I collaborate with clients to set goals and identify/build on their strengths. I use body-based therapies (EMDR, Sensorimotor, IFS) to help clients resolve past trauma. I incorporate ACT and DBT to help clients manage stressors more effectively and live more meaningful/fulfilling lives As a BIPOC psychologist and bilingual immigrant, I have extensive experience serving clients with marginalized identities. I am curious about clients’ lived experiences and want to respect their identities. I feel honored to be able to support clients in breaking barriers and living up to their full potentials. If any of these speak to you, let’s chat!

Do want to want to live authentically with yourself and others? Has something happened that makes you question your core beliefs and values? My primary goal is to understand you as to want to be understood - without rigid diagnoses or other labels. We will work together to fully understand who you have been, who you are in the present, and who you aspire to be. We will also consider how your current beliefs may be based on long-held assumptions and are no longer your own. Ultimately, good therapy will free up your capacity to consider new choices that are more closely aligned with your own values and goals. I am a humanistic existential therapist. I work with adults (ages 18 and above) who are confronted with many types of issues and concerns. These include life transitions (grief, life-threatening health diagnoses, career, retirement), identity (gender, sexuality), relationship discord (family, intimate partners), and trauma (complex and chronic). I believe in reducing the stigma attached to going to therapy. We can build a space where you feel supported. The impacts of climate change, the pandemic, and a multitude of other stressors leads to compassion fatigue - both for others and ourselves. Please reach out for a free 15-20 minute consultation to explore your decision to start psychotherapy.

I provide individual and relationship therapy, that focuses on solutions to issues like overwhelming emotions, conflict with others, or stressful events. I believe that in life, generally every person has the ability to navigate through life's challenges on their own. Though when stressed for prolonged periods of time, or sometimes even if you experience just one traumatic or overwhelming event, it can be helpful to work through these issues with the guidance of a therapist. Therapy is a place to build up your resiliency and effectiveness. During sessions I offer support through conversation, asking questions and activities to help you accomplish your goals around your mental health and relationships. Through the therapy process you'll likely experience positive changes in areas like your thoughts or insights, actions, feelings, or the quality of your relationships over time. Therapy is based in a relationship of trust, safety, and respect between myself and the individual or relationship that I am serving. Please note I have extensive training and experience in Collaborative Problem Solving to address youth exhibiting defiance or aggression, if participating in family therapy.

Have you ever struggled to find the words to describe how you are feeling? Or, wished to express yourself beyond just talking in therapy? When words can't express it, art can! Whether you consider yourself an artist or not (and you don't have to be one to do art), visual expression and the creative process can help. Jung said, "often the hands will solve a mystery the intellect has struggled with in vain." Art offers you the opportunity to explore and work through what is challenging you a little differently than solely talking about it. View 5 Photos I offer a holistic, strengths based, person centered, experiential style of therapy. This includes art. Art becomes a way of knowing, expressing, considering, and exploring within the session. But, this also definitely includes talking. We use art and words to gain perspective and insight on how to help you feel better. To learn more about my practice, please visit my website. Reaching out for support, is an important first step toward change, healing, and growth. Whatever your challenge, you don't have to face it alone. I would like to help you feel better and create the change you wish to see in your life. I look forward to speaking with you!

Life can be a lot: noisy, demanding, overwhelming, sometimes downright impossible. We each need a space where we’re not expected to hold it all together or live up to other people’s expectations. In that calm, quiet place, we can learn to listen to ourselves more closely, to find out who we are and how to get closer to the life we want. Having a skilled, patient collaborator in that space can be crucial, especially if you’ve been struggling to get clear on what’s not working in your life or what needs to change. My goal is to provide nonjudgmental, open-minded support in your process of figuring out what’s right for you—with work, friends, partners, family, and, maybe most importantly, your relationship with yourself. I specialize in supporting folks navigating marginalized identities, who have historically found it difficult to see themselves reflected in the society around them. Learning to recognize who we are and what’s important to us, beyond who we’ve been told we should be (or are failing to be), might be the most powerful and subversive work any of us can do.
